The creator of so many film monsters and brilliant action scenes died at the age of 92. Harryhausen was famous for using 'stop-motion' animation for the big monster scenes in many many films for over 40 years. He is best known for the special effects in Greek tragedies from the 1960s to the 1980s, and I would rate his Clash of the Titans fight scenes over the remake any day.
